2nd Annual Hamilton Film Festival

You are invited to join us for the Hamilton Film Festival, August 5-8. Native Hamiltonians Todd and Grant Slater have put together a terrific schedule with something for everyone!
• Meet world renowned filmmakers Harold Ramis (Animal House, Ghost Busters, Caddy Shack) and Joe Berlinger (Brother’s Keeper). Ramis’s classic, Groundhog Day, will kick off the festival Thursday evening. Berlinger’s award winning documentary, Crude, a story of big oil and the environment, will be the Saturday evening feature.
• See Race to Nowhere, the provocative documentary recently profiled on Oprah about the pressures on today’s students to be good at everything- academics, sports, the arts, community service. A must-see for every parent, teacher, school official and community leader. Meet the director, Vicki Abeles.
• Sports fan? ESPN’s Mark Durand will be on hand to present two features: Guru of Go, the fast paced and emotionally moving story of basketball bard Paul Westhead, his high flying run and shoot offense and the tragic death of star player Hank Gathers., and Keep Eye on Ball: The Hashim Khan Story, a film that profiles the greatest family in squash-ever.
